INVISTA Recognizes Commercial Success of LYCRA® Fiber with W Technology
Along with the North America Apparel industry, INVISTA—one of the world's largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers—is celebrating the commercial introduction of its innovative LYCRA® fiber with W Technology at a special event.
LYCRA® fiber with W Technology has a package of enhancements that improves visual and physical fabric uniformity with an optimized luster, color-blending and new proprietary spinning technology. This new level of performance in elastane fibers is designed to offer improved whiteness retention, uniformity, brilliant color clarity and better molding for fabrics and garments in intimate apparel.

The new technology will provide a robust enhancement for both warp and circular knit fabrics and will enable greater coloration and styling flexibility without changing fabric properties, thus providing garment designers with the increased confidence that both whites and fashion colors will be bright, long-lasting and true.
- LYCRA® fiber with W Technology has enduring whiteness: From fabric formation to the final selling floor, fabrics are bombarded with forces that dull brilliant whites. LYCRA® fiber with W Technology is designed to protect across the broad spectrum of these conditions.
- LYCRA® fiber with W Technology is invisible: Its new level of dye pickup enables it to blend beautifully with polyamide colors. Molded cups and high-content fabrics can reach a new level of evenness and clarity.
- LYCRA® fiber with W Technology can bring confidence: It will help to create fashion colors without doubts, with the increased assurance that the fiber’s enhanced invisibility comes with no loss in fastness.
