CORDURA® Ballistic Fabric Adopted by Ricardo® Beverly Hills Luggage

Durable Fabric Solutions for Long-Lasting Performance Featured in the Bel Aire Luggage Collection

INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand fabric, popularly known for its long-lasting performance, has been adopted by Ricardo® Beverly Hills for the Bel Aire Collection, designed with luxury and practicality in mind. Appearing at the Travel Goods Show, March 6 – 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Ricardo’s Bel Aire Collection consists of carry-on bags, business briefs, expandable upright suitcases and rolling garment bags, all constructed with durable CORDURA® fabrics.

“Today’s traveler needs luggage that can stand up to the tough world of traveling,” said Cindy McNaull, global CORDURA® brand and marketing director. “With the launch of the Bel Aire Collection, avid travelers can now sport luxury luggage with the durability and reliability that distinguishes CORDURA® fabrics.”

The Bel Aire collection features leather trim, deluxe packing features, and full interior lining. Available in pearl mink or black, each piece is constructed of CORDURA® Ballistic fabric for enhanced tear and abrasion resistance. In addition to the CORDURA® brand mantra of long-lasting durable fabric solutions, the collection is backed by Ricardo Beverly Hills' Performance Guarantee, which covers any damage, even if caused by airlines, for the first three years of ownership.

"We're proud to have teamed up with Invista,” said Jeff F. Dutra, executive vice president, Ricardo® Beverly Hills. “Their CORDURA® brand fabrics offer superior performance and represent a quality benchmark in the market place."

Packed with convenience inspired features, Ricardo’s Bel Aire Collection uses an Easy Grip™ pull handle system, made from aircraft grade aluminum for trouble-free operation. The smooth gliding multi-locking handle is ergonomically designed to help minimize fatigue. Each piece comes standard with wheels that are screwed instead of riveted, for easy replacement and extended life. Additionally, with help from the Super Guard™ Fabric Treatment, the durable CORDURA® fabric is stain and water-resistant to help keep luggage looking stylish and new.

Other features found throughout the Bel Aire collection include an adjustable add-a-bag strap, a TSA approved lock, removable garment carrier and zip-around expandability to increase the packing capacity with the pull of a zipper.
