Eurovet and the LYCRA® Brand Present Annual Interfilière New York
Event to Introduce LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology
Eurovet, the worldwide leading reference in intimate apparel, swimwear and performance fabrics trade shows, and INVISTA, owner of the LYCRA® fiber brand, have teamed up for the third consecutive year to present Interfilière New York on Monday, September 21 at The Altman Building, located at 135 West 18th Street in Manhattan. This one-day event packed with fabrics, accessories and production capabilities from around the world and valuable strategic information is designed to service the North American market. It bears the Interfilière quality label and its reputation as the global sourcing reference for intimates, swim and performance fabrics.
This one-day format, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., will attract industry majors as well as young designers for face to face meetings with a select group of 48 top international mills and accessory manufacturers. The show will present a geographically curated selection of mills from Europe, Asia and the Americas catering to the intimate apparel, swimwear and athleisure industry. Among the products shown, manufacturers, brands, upcoming designers and major retailers will discover a balance and diverse sampling of lace, wovens, trimmings, embroideries, knits and print designs.
Among the new features this year, the Creative Lab a new format trend presentation created by Concepts Paris for Interfilière New York will showcase the mill’s technological innovations and will be accessible to all, all day long.
The morning will begin with a trend presentation by Jos Berry, CEO and Founder of Concepts Paris, with a focus on Spring/Summer 2016 to guide the attendees through the offerings presented on the show floor. At 11 a.m., INVISTA will formally present LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology.
Based on the overwhelming response from the pre registered attendees, the highlight of the day will be the much-anticipated Summer 2017 trend preview by Jos Berry, which will give designers an edge on the trends. The day will conclude with a cocktail reception.
The LYCRA® brand’s newest platform, LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology, was designed in response to consumer needs for increased sophistication and comfort performance in the shapewear category. The foundation provides the wearer outstanding shaping with long-lasting freshness and permanent moisture management. Consumer research conducted by INVISTA indicated that *78% of female consumers find moisture management in shapewear to be extremely or very important, with only *40% satisfied. This new technology meets this need.
“The secret is COOLMAX® Technology,” said Arnaud Ruffin, Strategy and Business Development Director at INVISTA Apparel. “It features fibers with an engineered cross-section, enabling moisture to reach the fabric’s outer surface where it evaporates quickly.”
Ruffin added, “LYCRA® BEAUTY COOLING technology addresses the problem of shapewear discomfort due to body temperature, which was reported to be a challenge at the consumer level. Fabrics from international mills are already available, and we expect first adoptions to hit shelves in the coming seasons.”
