Who can apply?
Asian citizens on a F-1 Student Visa who are studying at, or have graduated from, an accredited university in the United States.
Potential candidates must be able to provide Employee Authorization Documentation through Optional Practical Training (OPT), Curricular Practical Training (CPT), or otherwise have the ability to live and work in the U.S. for approximately a year. INVISTA does not participate in E-Verify for this program.
How often do you post new positions?
INVISTA plans to have an ongoing demand for new positions. Check back regularly, because we may be adding new positions every month.
What type of positions are available?
We offer positions in a variety of disciplines, such as: accounting, information technology (IT), engineering, finance, business development, operations, research and development (R&D), environment, health & safety, supply chain, and human resources (HR).
Where in the U.S. will I be located?
During your time at INVISTA, your specific location depends upon the discipline your position falls under. Please see the list below for sample opportunities at a variety of locations. However, keep in mind that these disciplines are not limited to these locations and new positions at other locations may become available:
- Orange, La Porte and Houston, Texas: Engineering
- Wichita, Kansas (Corporate Headquarters): Accounting, Finance, Business & Commercial Development, IT, Sourcing
- Kennesaw, Georgia: Business & Commercial Development, Sales
- Wilmington, Delaware: Businesses & Commercial Development, Sales
What happens after I've completed my work experience at INVISTA in the U.S.?
After completion of the initial period of employment in the U.S., successful participants may have several options. If you haven't yet graduated and are working for INVISTA as an intern, you may receive an offer to continue interning or work for INVISTA in Asia after graduation. If you're a graduate working for INVISTA, you may also receive an offer to work for INVISTA at one of it locations in Asia.
If I receive an offer to work in Asia, where will I work?
If you receive an offer to work for INVISTA in Asia, you may work in mainland China, where you could work in Shanghai (either downtown or Qingpu district), Beijing, Guangzhou or Foshan. INVISTA has three sites in Qingpu that manufacture airbag fiber, nylon carpet fiber and spandex, and one joint venture site in Foshan that produces spandex. INVISTA’s sales and administrative offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou support its various businesses.
INVISTA also has sites in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
If I receive an offer from INVISTA to participate in this program, will my relocation costs be covered?
If you ultimately receive an offer for a role in Asia, we intend to offer an appropriate relocation benefits package.
