Differentiated blend performance: As a blend additive for traditional nylons, Novadyn™ DT/DI polyamide significantly improves conditioned mechanical properties for nylon 6,6 and nylon 6, including up to 43 percent improvement in conditioned flexural strength and stiffness.
Diverse functionality at low cost: As a blend additive, Novadyn™ DT/DI and Novadyn™ DT polyamides can be used to modify crystallinity, boost glass transition temperature, improve dimensional stability and reduce costs.
Transparency and chemical resistance: Novadyn™ DT/DI polyamide was designed for transparent applications where polycarbonate struggles with chemical resistance or where more costly transparent polymers are over-specified.
Versatility: Novadyn™ polyamides can be used for transparent and blend applications involving a broad range of processing methods, including injection molding, extrusion, specialty and barrier films, monofilament and fiber processing.
Novadyn™ DT/DI and Novadyn™ DT are semi-aromatic polyamides. Novadyn™ DT/DI is made from monomers DYTEK® A Amine, purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and purified isophthalic acid (PIA). Novadyn™ DT is made from DYTEK® A Amine and PTA. Visit the DYTEK® website to learn more about DYTEK® A Amine.
Recycled content: Novadyn™ polyamides' unique combination of properties is derived from DYTEK® A Amine, a monomer which is used in many high-performance specialty polyamides. DYTEK® A Amine is typically 99% pure and manufactured from recovered and refined materials that would otherwise be burned with heat recovery, giving Novadyn™ PAs at least 43% recycled content.
