ADI-PURE® adipic acid
ADI-PURE® adipic acid is a high-purity, hexanedioic acid in the form of a white, crystalline powder. INVISTA integrates much of its adipic acid into its nylon polymer production. However, its carboxylic acid chemistry, excellent uniformity and consistent end-use performance makes it a valuable intermediate in a wide range of applications—such as a monomer in nylon, paper additives, copolyamides, terpolymers, unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs), and polyester polyols for polyurethanes.
INVISTA's Dibasic acid (DBA) is an aliphatic dibasic acid product containing primarily glutaric, succinic and adipic acids. DBA is specially processed to minimize other components, particularly nitric acids and metals. It is used in polyester polyols for polyurethanes, pH buffers for limestone sulfur dioxide scrubbers, water treatment chemicals, scale removers and cleaning applications. Learn more about DBA.
INVISTA's family of C12™ high-performance intermediates is supplied with the full range of 12 carbon cyclic and linear molecules, offering unique properties to demanding applications. C12™ intermediates, such as Dodecanedioic Acid (DDDA) and CORFREE® M1 diacid, produce coatings, resins, lubricants, fragrances, adhesives, fibers, foams and corrosion inhibitors.
CORFREE® M1 diacid
INVISTA’s CORFREE® M1 diacid provides excellent ferrous corrosion inhibition properties. It is used in a variety of corrosion inhibitor applications, including metalworking fluids, engine coolants, cleaners, aqueous hydraulic fluids and die cast release agents. CORFREE® M1 diacid formulations do not leave undesirable, hard-to-clean residues associated with amine borate formulations.
