DYTEK® Hexamethylenediamine

INVISTA is a global leader in the production of hexamethylenediamine (HMD), a key intermediate used in industrial, textile, resin, carpet and coating applications. DYTEK® HMD is produced from adiponitrile (ADN) and is a precursor to the manufacturing of nylon 6,6 and polyurethanes. It is an aliphatic diamine with greater than 99 percent purity.
In addition to its use in polyamide fibers and resins, such as nylon 6,6, DYTEK® HMD is used in the formulation of coatings, epoxy curing agents, petroleum additives, adhesives, inks, scale and corrosion inhibitors, and water treatment chemicals.
