INVISTA Presents Three Innovations to the Diapers Industry at the NT&TT Show ON October 23-28 in Sao Paulo

INVISTA, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, is an important name at the 4th Edition of the International Exhibition of Nonwoven and Technical Textiles, NT&TT tradeshow, that will take place from 26-28 October at Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo. At the show, INVISTA will promote its LYCRA HyFit™ fiber brand for the hygiene and personal care industry, used by disposable diapers producers.

In its 50 m² booth, at position D48, INVISTA will take the opportunity to introduce three innovations to the market: creels featuring over-end-take-off technology; an unwinding system called Transfer Tail, and T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber.

"The focus of all of these innovations is to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of our customers, reducing downtime costs and increase yield and quality," says Jorge Mazzaferro, Business Director for Central and South America.

Creels with over-end-take-off technology provide automatic change of spandex, without stopping the machine. Transfer Tail system is an innovative way of unwinding LYCRA HyFit™ fiber, which can improve the quality in the transfer of the fibers when using creels with over-end-take-off technology.

The final attraction is the launch of the T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber. "Customers of LYCRA HyFit ™ fiber brand will enjoy the many benefits of these innovations and INVISTA is very excited to be presenting the South American disposable diapers market with these advancements," said Kristin Altimari, Global Communication and Marketing Manager for the LYCRA HyFit™ brand.

LYCRA HyFit™ fiber is used along with other raw materials in the manufacturing process of disposable diapers, specifically applied where requires adjustment to the body, such as legs and waist. When used for this purpose, LYCRA HyFit™ fiber provides comfort for babies and adults, also increasing productivity in the personal care and hygiene disposable diapers industry due to its higher unload force and higher draft capability compared to rubber. This results in less elastic required per unit, minimizes breaks in the customer process, increase yield which can reduce manufacturing cost.

LYCRA HyFit™ fiber is produced in Paulínia site by INVISTA, one of the largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers in the world, owner of the trademarks LYCRA® fiber, SUPPLEX® fabric, Tactel® fiber, CORDURA® fabric and ANTRON® carpet fiber.
