INVISTA Site Receives Highest Level Safety Award

INVISTA’s fiber facility in Monterrey received the Safe Company Recognition from La Secretaria del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS). The recognition, awarded March 10, placed INVISTA in the "Re-validation Level 3 - Effective Management" category, the highest level issued by the Mexican Labor Authority.

INVISTA received this recognition as a result of the outstanding achievements during the program audits, which assess a variety of factors within a company:

  • Compliance by Mexican regulations
  • Program administration
  • Standard & programs compliance
  • Accidents & disabilities indicators

“INVISTA Monterrey has received similar awards in the past, but this is the first time receiving the highest level recognition,” said Site Manager Gerardo Solorio. “Such an achievement is only possible through the diligent work of every one of our employees.”

The voluntary program is part of the Self-Management Program in Health and Safety at Work, which promotes the STPS Ministry.

Representing INVISTA Monterrey during the ceremony was Gerardo Solorio, site manager; Hector Chapa, technical & EHS manager; Eduardo Garza, HR manager; Miguel Herrera, EHS specialist; Hugo Leyva, environmental specialist; and Raymundo Guerrero, union representative leader.

INVISTA’s Monterrey fiber processing plant operates texturing, beaming, POY, and FDY functions for its nylon and spandex fibers.
