INVISTA Martinsville Site Celebrates Six Year Injury-Free Milestone
Site also completes third perfect year of environmental, health, and safety performance
INVISTA's Martinsville site, also known as INVISTA Precision Concepts, celebrated two significant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) achievements on January 22.
On December 7, 2010, the Martinsville site completed six full years without a recordable injury or illness. Also, on December 31, 2010, the site completed its third “INVISTA EHS Perfect Year.” The “INVISTA EHS Perfect Year” is a company metric and recognition program with criteria including zero recordable injuries, zero environmental agency reportable incidents, zero notices of violation, and zero citizen complaints, among others.
The two noteworthy accomplishments were celebrated by an open house at which more than 100 employees and members of their families enjoyed refreshments, door prizes, and an opportunity to visit the shop area.
“I am very proud of INVISTA's Martinsville employees,” said Site Manager Tim Coble. “Our ongoing injury-free performance is a reflection of every employee’s daily focus and commitment to compliance, health, and safety. It involves having a keen awareness of risks and the proper controls and actions to mitigate them.”
INVISTA Martinsville employees and their guests celebrate two significant environmental, health & safety milestones.
