TERATE™ Polyols Offer More Options for Asia Rigid Foam Manufacturers
INVISTA is formally launching its Terate™ polyols in Asia at UTECH on Sept. 6, exhibit 680, and will showcase the benefits of using Terate™ polyols in rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam systems.
With a rapidly growing product portfolio and customer base, INVISTA is focused on finding the best solutions for its Asia customers.
“We have been serving foam formulators in several Asia Pacific countries for more than three decades,” said Bill Trowell, business director for Terate™ polyols. “And thanks to our recent launch of Terate™ HT polyols, we have received increased interest from China.”
Terate™ and Terate™ HT polyols can be used in various applications to aid systems formulators in achieving better performance, such as improved flame retardant properties and better substrate adhesion in rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams.
When used as a partial replacement of traditional polyether polyols, Terate™ polyols:
- Help reduce loading of flame retardants
- Offer improved burn performance
- Provide improved adhesion to a variety of substrates
- Allow flexibility of polyurethane and polyisocyanurate formulations
“This versatility and improved performance is backed by our recognized technical support to assist our customers with particular applications and equipment conditions,” said Trowell.
TERATE™ polyols are used in a variety of applications including polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams as well as in coatings, adhesives, elastomers and sealants. Rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam systems applications include spray foam (both cavity wall and roofing), insulated appliances, insulated metal panels (walk-in coolers, wall and roof assemblies) and other areas that require polyol aromaticity to meet certain approval standards.
