INVISTA Chattanooga site earns international environmental certification
ISO 14001 recognizes site’s environmental management systems for the automotive industry
INVISTA’s Chattanooga manufacturing facility was awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 certification for environmental management systems. This certification provides assurances that a company is effectively managing its environmental responsibilities, a critical metric used within the automotive segment.
“Earning ISO 14001 certification is a testament to our employees’ strong commitment to environmental stewardship and our continued effort to be a top-tier automotive resin supplier,” said Ben McDaniel, vice president, INVISTA Engineering Polymer Solutions. “We will continue to work with our customers to help improve our systems and add value to the value chain.”
The ISO 14000 family of standards provides practical tools for companies and organizations to manage their environmental responsibilities. The standards can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
ISO is an independent, non-governmental membership organization and the world's largest developer of voluntary International Standards that extend to product quality, health and safety, and engineering standards. Its more than 19,000 standards are recognized internationally and provide assurances to customers, suppliers, employees and the community.
