INVISTA launches a state-of-the-art carpet technology research and testing laboratory at its Qingpu plant
INVISTA, the global textile industry pioneer, has launched a new carpet technology R&D and end-use testing laboratory at its Qingpu plant in Shanghai. The new facility is a first for INVISTA Surfaces business in Asia Pacific, specializing in end-use application and brand certification testing for the carpet industry.
In addition to providing efficient brand certification services for downstream carpet manufacturers, the new laboratory will also offer strong technical support for INVISTA’s Performance Surfaces & Materials (PS&M) business.
The laboratory will examine a wide variety of fiber characteristics and carpet performance properties, including carpet pile weight, fluorine content, anti-static properties, anti-stain and accelerated wear performance. It can also test for colorfastness to light, water and crocking.
The new lab will be an important resource for INVISTA’s PS&M business, supporting fiber innovation and servicing INVISTA’s Asia Pacific customers.
