Nationwide Tour Showcases Products Featuring CORDURA® Brand Durable Fabric
For the third year in a row, INVISTA’S CORDURA® brand team is sponsoring Backpacker magazine’s ‘Get Out More Tour.’ The mobile tour is challenging the spirit and determination of the experienced ‘Get Out More’ road team as they trek across the country to educate outdoor enthusiasts on the equipment and skills they need for the optimal outdoor experience.
Outdoor experts and tour ambassadors, Randy and Sherri Propster, are leading the adventure across the country. This year’s tour, expanded by approximately 25 more stops, is taking the Propsters to more than 70 outdoor specialty retailers and events. The 2010 tour officially kicked off on Tuesday, April 6 in Branford, Conn. and will conclude on Saturday, Dec.11 in Jacksonville, Fla.

The content rich, user-friendly site allows end-users of the fabric to learn more about INVISTA’s fabric technology and the benefits of using products made with CORDURA® fabric.
To coincide with the tour, INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand team recently launched a new interactive Durability Experience advertising campaign that drives traffic to the new website module: The Durability Experience. Module users can chose from seven durable characters ranging from: hiker, biker, hunter, traveler, worker, soldier, or even skateboarder use the 3D feature to rotate their choice of durable characters for a 360-degree view of the wide variety of clothing and gear items that rely on CORDURA® fabric for super durable performance.

As part of the mobile marketing tour, the Backpacker ‘Get out More’ road team is hosting a series of detailed, 60-minute interactive tutorials, in-depth retail workshops, exhilarating outdoor excursions and festival participation to provide an inside look into the latest outdoor products and trends in the industry. Designed to bring the pages of Backpacker magazine to life, the ‘Get Out More Tour’ delivers real-life experiences, product demonstrations and tips straight from the editors to provide audiences with the practical techniques and skills for their outdoor adventures. In addition to the inspirational seminars and invigorating hiking and camping excursions, audiences will enjoy the opportunity to win fabulous outdoor prizes.
