INVISTA Waynesboro Hosts First of Two Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days for 2007

WAYNESBORO , Va . – April 19, 2007 – The INVISTA Waynesboro site is hosting its first of two household hazardous waste collection days for this year on Saturday, April 21 st in an effort to serve the community and assist with environmental excellence. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Waynesboro Shops ( 900 Essex Avenue , off Second Street , across from North Park ).

The INVISTA Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day allows residents (households only, no businesses due to EPA and Virginia regulations) in Augusta County , Waynesboro and Staunton to bring materials that they cannot throw away to the collection center. INVISTA will supply the proper drums for collection, OSHA and RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act) personnel to manage proper collection of wastes, transportation to its site, temporary storage, and proper disposal by a certified transport, storage and disposal facility. Residents can bring the following materials to the collection center.
