INVISTA TO STAGE 2009 SPECIAL COLLECTIONS FEATURING XTRA LIFE LYCRA® FIBER
Runway event to be hosted by Carson Kressley of "How to Look Good Naked"
Wilmington, DE (July 2008) - INVISTA, known for its Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber technology in the swimwear category, will once again stage the only group runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. Carson Kressley, style expert and host of Lifetime Network’s "How to Look Good Naked," will host the runway show, bringing with him a unique fashion sense and a very special guest, Patricia Noriega, a featured participant in the upcoming season of the popular television show. As part of her episode, Noriega will join models on the catwalk to showcase 2009 swimwear collections with Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber from more than ten top swimwear designers.
Taking its cue from the golden age of glam in the 70s and 80s, the runway show will feature collections by Banana Moon, Brette Sandler, Christina, Gottex, Karla Colletto, Maryan Mehlhorn, Miracle Suit, Profile by Gottex, Red Carter, Reebok, SHAN and Speedo.
Introduced in 2005, Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber features an innovative technology that provides swimwear with a longer-lasting fit that resists bagging and sagging. Exposure to suntan lotion, skin oils and chlorine can compromise the stretch and recovery of spandex, quickly degrading the fit of a suit. Swimwear with Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber however, is five to ten times more resistant to chlorine than those with ordinary spandex, meaning they can look newer and keep their fit longer.

The Xtra Life LYCRA® fiber 2009 Swimwear Show will begin with a cocktail reception at 8:45 P.M., followed by the runway show at 9:15 PM on Monday, July 21st in the Cabana Grande at The Raleigh, Miami Beach, Florida.
