DBE™ is the trademark for the INVISTA brand of dibasic esters, the portfolio of dicarboxylic acid esters that combines an excellent solvency power and an improved level of protection for users and the environment, thereby providing a balanced solution. DBE™ offers an alternative to chlorinated solvents such as methylene chloride and other regulated solvents, such as glycol ethers (E-series), certain ketones (methyl ethyl ketone-MEK) and aromatics (toluene).

INVISTA DBE™ - Dibasic Esters are clear, colorless liquids produced from the dibasic acids-adipic, glutaric and succinic-which are all naturally occurring materials. All the DBE™ components (dimethyl succinate, dimethyl glutarate and dimethyl adipate) are readily biodegradable.

DBE™ - Dibasic Esters can function as solvents as well as chemical intermediates in the following applications:
