INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials provides branded and unbranded continuous filament and staple carpet fibers for carpets, rugs, pillows and comforters around the globe.

Residential

As a leader in the residential carpet and area rug category, INVISTA upholds stringent manufacturing standards and specifications before a carpet can be certified and sold as a STAINMASTER® carpet product. These specifications include using only type 6,6 nylon fiber made by INVISTA, one of the strongest fibers available for carpet construction.

Commercial

ANTRON®carpet fiber has been meeting the needs of architects, designers and building owners since its introduction. Providing superior performance, sustainability and aesthetics, ANTRON® carpet fiber products include ANTRON® Legacy nylon, ANTRON® LUMENA® solution- dyed nylon, ANTRON® nylon with StainRESIST® fiber technology, and the newest product, ANTRON® Brilliance® nylon. Specialized ANTRON® FiberEffects™ accent yarns are inspired by the natural look of materials, such as silk wool and metal, to produce the fibers Soie, Glimmer and Merino for unique carpet stylings. In combination with other ANTRON® A these accent yarns create natural, modern looks.

Home and Hospitality

INVISTA works to provide manufacturers and retail customers with a wide range of innovative fiber technologies to be used in many home textiles such as pillows, comforters and rugs. The business strives to meet consumer needs by gaining insight into consumers' desires in home textile, furniture and other home interior markets.

Under the DACRON® and COMFOREL® brands, the business markets high-end fiberfill for soft, luxurious pillows, comforters and mattress pads. COMFOREL® fiber is also in bath rugs, offering superior softness and lasting, vivid color. Building on the strength of the POLARGUARD® Home fiber brand and the THERMOLITE® fabric brand in the outdoor market, INVISTA has developed a line of warm, cozy comforters.

INVISTA's premium offerings for home textiles include products sold under the STAINMASTER® brand. INVISTA's STAINMASTER® rug collection of luxurious area rugs continues to expand. STAINMASTER® fabric now covers select pillows, comforters and mattress pads, making them easy to care for and luxurious. STAINMASTER® paint has also been launched, offering a new dimension in lasting beauty and cleanability.

Automotive
The automotive segment of this business utilizes INVISTA fibers for airbags, automotive carpeting and mats. INVISTA's high-tenacity nylon 6,6 airbag fiber is engineered to withstand exposure to significant amounts of thermal and mechanical energy, high mechanical stresses, and operate at elevated temperatures. INVISTA is a major supplier in the airbag industry with an integrated supply chain reaching from intermediate chemicals to the manufacture of INVISTA nylon 6,6 filaments. With the start up of its spinning plant in China in 2008, INVISTA has an unparalleled capability to manufacture the same product in any region.

In automotive carpets and mats, INVISTA provides specialty fibers with superior uniformity in a variety of sizes and lusters which enhance the beauty of automobile interiors. Working closely with the original equipment manufacturer designers and engineers, as well as the carpet manufacturers, INVISTA works to anticipate the changing needs of the automotive segment.
