INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials provides innovative solutions for INVISTA's global surface-focused segments including residential, commercial, area rugs, bedding, sheets, pillows and comforters; its automotive-focused segments such as airbags and automotive flooring; and its industrial nylon offerings. Consumer brands brought to market include STAINMASTER® carpet, ANTRON® carpet fiber and CORDURA® fabric.

INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials provides branded and unbranded BCF (bulked continuous filament) and staple carpet fibers going into residential, commercial and automotive carpets as well as bath, accent and area rugs and branded fiberfill in sleep products like pillows and comforters. INVISTA is the market leader in these segments globally under our brands including STAINMASTER® carpet (residential), ANTRON® nylon fiber (commercial and automotive), and COMFOREL® fiberfill (sleep). Global regions include North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and South America. INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials is extending our brand positions and is using the STAINMASTER® brand in bath rugs, area rugs and upholstered furniture.

The Residential Flooring business within INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials is focused on delivering quality products and services that delight all segments of the value chain with a special emphasis on the end-use consumer segment. Product acceptance and a desire to purchase on behalf of this segment continue to deliver market growth by bringing committed shoppers through the doors of thousands of retailers every day. The flagship brand, STAINMASTER®, has proven to be a valuable tool in delighting the residential floor covering value chain. It is the number one brand in the residential carpet and area rug category when it comes to consumer recognition and predisposition to purchase. Every carpet and area rug that carries the STAINMASTER® brand must meet demanding manufacturing standards and specifications before it can be certified and sold as a STAINMASTER® product. These specifications include using only type 6,6 nylon fiber made by INVISTA. This is the strongest fiber available for carpet construction.

ANTRON® carpet fiber is the most recognized fiber brand in the commercial floorcovering industry. Since its introduction, ANTRON® carpet fiber has been meeting the needs of architects, designers and building owners who specify the product for their commercial interiors. Known as the industry's leading commercial carpet fiber, Antron® carpet fiber products provide superior performance, sustainability and aesthetics. The Home and Hospitality segment of INVISTA Performance Surfaces and Materials strives to meet consumer needs by gaining insight into the consumer's desires. INVISTA works to provide manufacturer and retail customers with products and marketing concepts to help them meet consumer needs in home textile, furniture and other home interior markets. INVISTA offers a wide range of innovative fiber technologies to be used in many home textiles such as pillows, comforters and rugs. Under the COMFOREL® brand, a high-end fiberfill for soft luxurious pillows, comforters and mattress pads is marketed. COMFOREL® nylon is now offered for bath rugs that allows superior softness and lasting vivid color -- two of the main qualities that consumers want in bath rugs. Capitalizing on the strength of INVISTA's Polarguard™ Home and THERMOLITE® brands in the outdoor market, INVISTA has developed a new line of warm cozy comforters. At the upper end of INVISTA's offering for home textiles is the STAINMASTER® brand. The STAINMASTER® rug collection of luxurious area rugs continues to expand. STAINMASTER™ furniture has also been launched which is a complete line of beautiful, easy to care for furniture, supported by a comprehensive training and marketing program for dealers who take on the collection.

The automotive segment of this business utilizes INVISTA fibers for airbags, seatbelts, tire cord and automotive carpeting. INVISTA® Nylon 6,6 airbag fiber enables customers to make continuous advancements in automotive safety. Airbags require high-performance materials designed to absorb significant amounts of thermal and mechanical energy, withstand high mechanical stresses, and operate at elevated temperatures.
