INVISTA Polymer and Resins encompasses the manufacture and sale of polyester intermediates (DMT/PTA), amorphous polyester polymer (APP) and solid-stated polyester resin (PET) into various end-use segments such as rigid packaging, technical fibers, textiles and film. In addition, the business line includes the trading, re-processing, and sale of waste, off-quality, and recycle material for nylon and polyester products.
INVISTA Polymer and Resins products can be found in many products used every day, including rigid packaging for food and beverage storage, films used for the movies people watch, the pictures they take, the x-rays that doctors use to keep their patients healthy, the tires that families ride on, and the clothes people wear. INVISTA’s materials are engineered to provide the characteristics necessary to deliver specific functionality such as gas barrier, thermal performance, easy dye and spin, and low-cost processing.
INVISTA Polymer and Resins is committed to being the world’s most reliable, responsive and value-focused merchant market supplier of polyester intermediates and polymer. INVISTA’s standard and customized polymers and PET resins create value for customers by providing the specific product characteristics and services that allow them to be most profitable. Listening to customers’ needs has led to the development of an array of diverse products for numerous industries and applications, including the Polyclear® resin brand of products, Performa® film and sheet, and Polyshield® resin. With 50 years of manufacturing experience across the polyester chain, INVISTA has a truly unique degree of expertise within the industry.

INVISTA is known for our manufacturing consistency and reliability, as well as for providing unequalled technical expertise and a highly trained customer service staff. Product innovations have helped to create new markets where polyester previously did not perform well or was not economically competitive. Many successes have been in applications that have transitioned from other materials (including polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonates, glass and aluminum) to one of INVISTA’s customized polymers.
