Stewardship and Sustainability INVISTA thinks about stewardship in reference to the environment, employees or communities as the purposeful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care. Responsible stewardship is the foundation for INVISTA's Sustainability Vision:
INVISTA creates long-term value for society by protecting the environment and the safety and health of its workers and others; using resources more efficiently; consistently applying good science; and employing Market-Based Management® principles. Together, these contribute to overall quality of life.
A firm commitment to resource stewardship, waste elimination and environmental protection is central to INVISTA's Market-Based Management® culture, which guides every decision it makes.
INVISTA seeks ways to conserve resources, reduce emissions, and increase the utility and durability of its products. Keeping workers and neighbors safe and using resources efficiently as the company works to make people's lives better - this is value creation, and it is INVISTA's constant aim.

Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Performance INVISTA continuously strives to improve environmental, health and safety performance as it believes excellence in these areas is required for long-term success.
Each INVISTA employee shares in the responsibility for managing the company's operations around the world in a manner that is protective of the health and safety of employees, customers, contractors and the public as well as the environment. INVISTA places safety first, strives to always act with integrity, and pursues 10,000 percent compliance - with 100 percent of employees fully complying 100 percent of the time. The company also looks for appropriate opportunities to reach beyond requirements, innovating and investing to create more value with its products and in its communities.
INVISTA strives for zero environmental and safety incidents and the full integration of environmental protection and safety goals into planning and decision making. Providing appropriate training for employees is a key part of this effort, as is requiring contractors that work in INVISTA facilities to meet performance standards consistent with INVISTA employees.
In addition, INVISTA strives to respond in a timely and appropriate manner if an incident resulting from operations does occur. The company also works proactively with legislators, regulators, concerned groups and industry peers to develop and advance effective approaches to health and safety and environmental protection.
INVISTA audits its assets and operating practices regularly to help drive appropriate corrective actions and continuous improvement.
