INVISTA Orange Employees Pledge More Than $32,000 to United Way
Additional $15,000 pledged by Company
INVISTA’s Orange site employees pledged more than $28,000 to the United Way of Orange County’s 2011-2012 campaign, with an additional $4,000 designated to other United Way agencies in the region. The $32,000 total pledge represents a 41 percent increase in employee giving over the previous campaign.
“Investments in our community come in many forms,” said Raul Tochez, INVISTA Orange site manager. “It makes me very proud that INVISTA employees are committed to supporting the many local worthy causes and agencies under the United Way umbrella.”
In addition to the employee contribution, INVISTA corporately donated $15,000 to the Orange County United Way.
“We are very grateful for INVISTA’s continued support of the United Way,” said Linn Cardner, United Wayof Orange County Executive Director. “United Way contributions from employees like those at INVISTA provide valuable assistance to those in our community who are hungry, need a warm blanket, or who suffered a trajedy such as a house fire. We so appreciate the support.”
INVISTA is committed to being a good corporate citizen through its community outreach activities and philanthropic focus areas: human services, education, the enablement of youth, environmental stewardship, emergency services support, and community enrichment. This year, INVISTA invested more than $100,000 in charitable causes in the Texas communities where it has operations.
