INVISTA Athens Celebrates Two Years Injury-Free
INVISTA Athens’ employees have reached a significant milestone of working two years without an OSHA recordable injury. This accomplishment took place from Aug. 27, 2009, to Aug. 27, 2011.
“This outstanding accomplishment demonstrates our employees’ continued focus on identifying risks associated with their work and mitigating those risks,” said William Jones, INVISTA Athens site manager. “All employees should be proud of this achievement as it demonstrates their commitment to an injury-free workplace, consistent with INVISTA’s strong commitment to excellence in environmental, health and safety performance.”
The site is now working toward achieving 1,000 consecutive days without a recordable injury.
INVISTA’s Athens site is a yarn processor that serves the beaming segment of the Apparel business and the flooring segment of INVISTA’s Performance Surfaces & Materials (PS&M) business.
