INVISTA partners with Grenville Federation of Agriculture to support Food For All Food Bank
INVISTA Maitland is making available over 30 acres of its land to the Grenville Federation of Agriculture to support a community partnership that will raise funds for the Food For All Food Bank of South Grenville.
All media are invited to attend a press conference announcing the community partnership on July 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Pavilion (just east of INVISTA Maitland site on County Road 2).
“The partnership between Food For All Food Bank, INVISTA and the Grenville Federation of Agriculture is a win-win for our community,” said Food For All Food Bank executive director, Bonnie Pidgeon-Gommert. “It’s relationships like this that truly benefit and strengthen our society.”
INVISTA Maitland site manager, Joe Hendriks believes the partnership is a perfect fit for INVISTA.
“In business we are always striving to innovate and find new ways to solve problems and create products that help improve people’s lives,” Hendriks said. “An innovative partnership like this assists the Food For All Food Bank in meeting an important need in the community, and our community is stronger as a result.”
“The Grenville Federation of Agriculture has prepared the land and already planted beans,” said Federation president, Adrian Wynands. “We are pleased to partner with INVISTA to support a great local resource like the Food For All Food Bank.”
Local 4H volunteers will also be involved to assist in the harvest of the beans in the fall. A complimentary barbeque lunch sponsored by INVISTA and the Food For All Food Bank will be provided following the event.
