INVISTA Launches for South American Market at NT&TT Tradeshow T837 LYCRA HyFit™ Fiber
Company’s innovation enhances production efficiency of disposable diapers producers
INVISTA, global manufacturer of LYCRA HyFit™ fiber, highlights its presence at the NT&TT tradeshow on October 26-28, in São Paulo. In addition to the South American launch of technology at the show for its fiber unwinding users in disposable diapers, INVISTA is promoting another innovation that will be presented - T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber.
The INVISTA fiber for hygiene and personal care industry branded as LYCRA HyFit™ fiber seeks to meet market needs in terms of smooth delivery with less spikes or plucking in rolling and over-end take off which can translate into fewer machine stops.
In addition, T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber provides the opportunity to reduce the amount of adhesive needed to produce disposable diapers. According to Mazzaferro, tests performed in INVISTA’s Applied Research Center in Newark, Delaware in the United States, demonstrated the efficiency of T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber in improving the results of creep. "This is a tremendous benefit of this innovation, which will certainly be well received by the market", says Jorge Mazzaferro, Personal Care Business Director of INVISTA for Central and South America.
With the over-end-take-off technology and the Transfer Tail system which will also be introduced by INVISTA to the market at NT&TT tradeshow, T837 LYCRA HyFit™ fiber completes the innovation package of INVISTA for the hygiene and personal care industry, focused on disposable diapers manufacturers.
LYCRA HyFit™ fiber is used along with other raw materials in the manufacturing process of disposable diapers, specifically applied where requires adjustment to the body, such as legs and waist. When used for this purpose, LYCRA HyFit™ fiber provides comfort for babies and adults, also increasing productivity in the personal care and hygiene disposable diapers industry due to its higher unload force and higher draft capability compared to rubber. This results in less elastic required per unit, minimizes breaks in the customer process, increase yield which can reduce manufacturing cost.
