Bleu/Rod Beattie consists of swimsuits and cover-ups with a modern design aesthetic. Tops and bottoms are sold separately so that a shopper can find the right size and proportion for her body type. Swimsuit sizes range from 4 to 14. Retail price points average $110 for a one-piece suit, $75 for swimsuit tops and $50 for swimsuit bottoms. Cover-ups, in sizes small to XL, range from $75 for a short sheer pull-over to $125 for a glamorous black jersey dress with gold hardware – worthy of an evening out-on-the-town.
“When I am putting together a collection, I am thinking of a chic woman…of any age”, says Beattie, when asked to describe his customer. “She is independent and modern, with great fashion sense.
