IT Infrastructure Lead (Europe & Asia). Ref: 29540. Location: Gloucester, UK

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop team members providing critical IT infrastructure services across multiple locations and businesses

  • Focus on key metrics that make the biggest difference, driving improvement in those areas

  • Advance the use of infrastructure technology to create competitive advantage, leveraging diverse viewpoints and innovation

  • Optimize IT infrastructure to support key business initiatives profitably

  • Continually evaluate and improve support processes to maximize team efficiencies and ensure a positive customer experience

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with locations supported; effectively handle and resolve problem escalations in a timely manner

  • Utilize the critical thinking and develop business case to evaluate and implement solutions in the infrastructure space

 
Requirements

  • 4+ years working in an IT or Operations environment

  • Strong desire to coach and develop team members

  • Strong analytical, decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication & collaboration skills

  • Strong initiative with the ability to seek out opportunities that can create additional value for the organization

  • Ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks to ensure timely and profitable delivery of services

  • Ability and desire to take ownership, seeing tasks and projects through to satisfaction and completion

 
Desirable Requirements

  • Network design and implementation experience

  • Windows Server & Client administration experience

  • Supervisory or team lead experience in the IT customer support industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field 

Other Considerations

  • Travel up to 20% including internationally

  • Minimal 2nd level rotational On-Call/Escalation responsibilities during nights/weekends
