Purchasing Manager (f/m/div) - Ref. 29541

Location: Gersthofen (nearby Augsburg) or Hattersheim a.M., Germany


  • Develop and execution of sourcing plans; manage all facets of the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply of the raw materials for Polyester Business
  • Ensure timely order creation and correct masterdata in ERP order processing system
  • Develop quarterly/monthly supply plans for raw materials for production and tolling
  • Monitor the supply plans' fulfillment on a daily basis by working closely with suppliers as well as logistics and tolling sites
  • First contact person in purchasing for our PET Resins production or tolling sites
  • Liaise with the accounts departments in connection with invoices/credit/debit notes
  • Work with internal customers and the business team
  • Purchase competitivly assigned raw materials for PET Resins and other direct and indirect materials
  • Evaluate buying opportunities by performing economic analysis; work with statistics
  • Support Business with data collection and Power Point presentations
  • Be the focal point for the sales team on price developments for major raw materials in Polyester chain
  • Solid economic education, e.g. industrial management assistant (Industriekaufmann f/m/div) or degree in business economics (bachelor/master)
  • Minimum of 5-10 years working experience in similar role within international industry beneficial
  • Very good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Impeccable integrity and ethics, open to challenge
  • Quick thinker with good problem-solving skills
  • Team worker with high motivation and productivity
  • Motivation to take initiative and seek improvements to the Status Quo                                                                                                                                                                                                         
  • Fluent German and English language skills are required
  • Flexibility to travel is required (10-20 %)
