INVISTA Longview and Victoria Sites Earn 2023 Caring for Texas Awards

Congratulations to our Longview and Victoria sites for once again being recognized by the Texas Chemical Council (TCC) for their community involvement and operations excellence with each site earning a Caring for Texas Award for 2023. 

While each site included a variety of contributions on the award submissions, a few highlights include:

Longview 

• Maintained OSHA VPP Star status since 2001; earned a silver rating from EcoVadis for environmental sustainability; and achieved zero work-related recordable injuries for 2022. 
• Community partnerships with organizations helping underprivileged populations such as the Longview Dream Center, Junior Achievement and Heartisans Marketplace.  
• Support of local emergency responders with grants for safety equipment and training through INVISTA’s Helping Heroes Program.  

Victoria 

• Twenty-five-year partnership with Victoria ISD on an environmental science education center at INVISTA’s 53-acre wetland. 
• Support of local emergency responders with grants for safety equipment and training through INVISTA’s Helping Heroes Program.  
• Community partnerships with organizations that support workforce development, education and youth leadership such as Crossroads Business Education Connection and Victoria College.
