INVISTA Operations Announcement
INVISTA today announced the decision to discontinue production at its site in Maitland, Ontario (Canada).
“We want to recognize and thank the Maitland employees, contractors, and others who have contributed to INVISTA’s success over the years,” said Brook Vickery, INVISTA president and CEO. “This decision is not a reflection of their efforts, but rather a reality of today’s market environment.”
INVISTA will be relocating Dytek A® production to its Victoria site while maintaining the strength and availability of its key Texas-based HMD assets. The Maitland site exit is planned to begin over the coming months, with key milestones and activities phased to ensure a safe, orderly, and compliant shutdown. INVISTA will ensure full compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements throughout the transition.
Approximately 100 roles directly supporting Maitland operations will be impacted throughout the process. All impacted employees will be eligible for severance benefits. Throughout this transition, INVISTA is committed to treating every employee with dignity and respect.
"Our top priority now is ensuring the continued safe operation of our plants as we work through the changes necessary to implement this decision,” added Vickery.
